FAQ
Common Questions.
Straight Answers.
Everything you need to know before booking your first — or next — session.
What space do I need to have ready for my appointment?
You'll need enough clear floor space to fit a massage table and allow me to move around comfortably to perform bodywork — roughly 6ft x 8ft is ideal. As for temperature, if it tends to run warm in your space, having it a bit cooler before I arrive makes for a much more comfortable session.
How should I prepare before my appointment?
If possible, shower beforehand — it makes for a cleaner, more comfortable experience for both of us. Eat light before your session rather than a heavy meal. As for hydration, drink plenty of water after your session to help flush out toxins released during the massage.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking a day ahead is always preferred as it gives us both time to confirm and prepare. Same-day appointments may be possible but require direct communication first to ensure availability and proper confirmation. Texting is the fastest way to reach me.
Do you travel outside of your listed service areas?
If you're outside of the listed areas — Trussville, Birmingham, Homewood, Mountain Brook, and Hoover — an additional travel fee may apply. However, that fee may be waived for clients who are looking to become consistent club members with monthly sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
24 hours notice is preferred for any cancellations or rescheduling. Life happens — just reach out as soon as possible and we'll work something out. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
Do you offer couples massages?
Couples massages are not available. However, if you have more than one person at the same location who would like a session, that can be accommodated — each person is treated as a separate booking with a separate charge.
Are there any health conditions that could prevent me from getting a massage?
If you have a serious health condition, a doctor's clearance is required before your session — either a written note or documentation provided on your client intake form. Your safety is the priority. When in doubt, check with your physician first and let me know upfront.
How do I get started as a new client?
Start by thinking about your problem areas — where you carry tension, what's bothering you, and what you're hoping to get out of the session. It also helps to do a little research on massage therapy and what it involves so you know what to expect. From there, reach out by text or through the booking form and we'll take it from there.
